Love it!
Your usual style is nice as always! I really like the sun and moon, you should do a full piece revolving around that, it'd be badass! This are great stickers, keep it up man, you know I love your stuff!

thank you sir, I think I will make a sun and moon brawling one of these days :D
My God.
This is brilliance in a way words cannot describe, but I will try my best.
I like absolutely everything about this, the fact that it looks palpable to the the touch, the great choice of light sources and their respective colors, and the overall theme behind it as well. You have a great sense of contrast in this piece, I really enjoy the dark and gloomy feel. It's almost as if I can actually hear the music they are playing in my head! Your ability to choose colors based on how they would react to said light sources, and the curvature of the character's features gives this an incredibly realistic feel. I envy your skills and will continue to look out for other submissions from you!
D: thats so nice!!! you seem to have looked at it really closely and long, i cannot thank you enough, its a great honor for me
Stippling. . .
Is badass! One of my all-time favorite techniques (on paper). I had never thought to do a digital-esque type, so inspiration was acquired from your piece and I thank you. As for the whole minimizing photoshop problem you are having, you can always save the picture to disk, and open it in a new window in PS, or even print it out to reference from. Although the way you did it is probably a lot better practice.
Anyways onto the actual piece. I really enjoy the colors that you chose for Ray's scheme. Very moody and emotional, with good contrast. His expression is really great, and you got really detailed with the wrinkles, which I think make it that much more realistic! A very nice work, especially for an hour, very impressive!
Only problem I have with it is the excessive space on the left, but it could just be the look you were going for. I definitely want to see some more stuff in this style!
Thanks... you have to be one of the best reviewers on the art portal!
It was quite a new challenge for me too, the stippling. Funny thing is it doesnt work at all like normal stippling works... you draw lines in photoshop, but it turnes it into stipples.
The reference thing was indeed kind of intentional... I dont want to rely on heavy referencing too much, Id rather develop a good eye.
As for the space on the left;
a] Composition-wise it would be logical to have some empty space on his left, because that is what he is looking at.
b] I might have made his shoulder to short, so that might add to the impression of excessive space
c] I`m using this as a desktop background, with my icons on the left ;)
Holy cow!
This is fantastic in every way, glad to hear it let you free up a bit. First things first though, are we supposed to be seeing a sort of transparent giant person in the light parts? Whether intentional or not, I think its truly awesome, it looks like it is a person with their hair like flowing down (I see the head starting to the left of the flare)
Anyways, I have always loved your work, and this one is a new favorite for sure! I'm amazed you whipped this out in 2-3 hours, that is really impressive! Your choice of cool foreground colors contrasting to the reds and oranges of the background are intriguing, and really eye catching!
I was wondering if you could possibly let me know some of the brushes/settings you use, I still haven't found ones that really feel natural to me, It would really be a great help!
Once again, amazing work, I will be looking forward to more as usual!
Woa thx for that dedicated feedback. I always love to read interpretations and things ppl see in my pics. I didnt notice the person up to now :D
voluptuous-ness
Mmmmm what a babe! I could never think of a good name for my girl, maybe Twister since yours is Cyclone :D Anyways you did really great on this my friend, and I can't thank you enough for your effort and hard work into our Doubles contribution!
you are sexy
Troubled
This poor guy looks miserable BMK, you really got some feeling into this one. While it could definitely use some touching up, I have a feeling you were going for a quicker semi-finished piece that focuses more on the emotion behind it rather than it being a polished painting.
I really like the color choices you used, you can really tell he's "feelin' blue" or just absolutely exhausted. Also, the warmth of the red really draws the viewer's attention directly to the eyes at first glance, which I really like.
Poor guy needs a freakin' hug. . . or a beer.
Sweet.
Very nice as usual! I like the colors you chose, they all complement each other very well, keeping it relatively unsaturated.
All I can say is: the poor guy! Look at how tired he is already, probably pissed that he's a low-level security guard or something, haha!
Keep it up good sir, I like what I've been seeing!
haha thats awesome, he is supposed to be a security guard
-I'm merely remarking on the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.
